VINTAGE RARE U.S. NAVY 2-PIECE SET OF SALAD SERVING PIECES, RIVETED HORN AND STERLING SILVER PLATE - “KINGS” PATTERN
This vintage RARE U.S. NAVY 2-PIECE SET OF SALAD SERVING PIECES with RIVETED HORN AND STERLING SILVER PLATE, are in very good condition. They are of high quality silver plated pieces, of restaurant-ware weight. The shaped horn of the fork and spoon pieces are held in place very sturdy double rivets on each piece, and act to anchor the utensil ends to each handle. This set is in the Kings Pattern, and is marked:  “1847 STERLING PLATE”. The set is also marked with an engraved “Anchor and Entwined Hook” on the front of both handles. To the back there are the engraved initials “U.S.N.”; however, these have been partially erased with re-worked silver, and are difficult to see.
Condition:  In very good vintage condition, and appears to have a early repair on the top pointed edge of the center prong of the fork. This repair is quite stable, and facilitates it’s use. The back is marked with: “U.S.N.”  which has been partially erased with re-worked silver. Please see photographs.

Salad Spoon Server:  10 3/4 inches Long x 1 7/8 inches Wide
